Good point, Etown. I remember in Socom 1 (I can't remember if it was in Socom 2, I don't think so) your crosshairs would turn gray if you were not able to shoot over an obstacle you were behind. Situations like these are frustrating, especially if you have an unsupressed weapon and fire at an enemy, only to discover you're hitting the wall you're behind. However, this doesn't happen to me on a daily basis, so it's nothing major, in my opinion.
First person is also good for getting rid of those people who hide behind corners, waiting for you to get close. I admit, I do it, too. I don't go over the edge with it and camp in one spot, but if an enemy is coming towards me, I'll use the advantage of third person and jump out.
