It went to 7% extremely quickly, then when everyone heard it was out, my download stopped dead. Took about 5 hours to download it, which is a lot quicker then most people who had to leave it on for 12+ hours because of all the traffic.
It froze on me at 12% twice after leaving it alone for a couple of hours. I don't know if it's because of the traffic or what, but I'll try it again today. Never had this problem with a Demo.
It's one of the most heavily downloaded demos ever. It's being speculated that the server froze, or MS blocked out specific regions to balance the load.
I'm looking forward to spending 4 hours tonight trying to DL this demo.

It did shut down live. I was there when it happened >_>
The same exact thing happened for a HALO 3 VIDEO! Ah, good ol 50 bucks a year. Get better servers that can handle more traffic!
It seems as though I'm one of few who had no trouble getting this to download. Mine was done in under an hour.
Yeah, I downloaded the BioShock demo last night/this morning before I went to bed... it only took about a half hour or so.
I'll have to give it a spin once I get home from work tonight... provided the wife "lets" me play games tonight, seeing as how it's her birthday today!

Never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience!
There was a glitch in the demo, and I got outside the level. I got to some places where you wern't supposed to be. Fought some people. Went outside in the water, and there were random floating rocks. It was kinda weird.

It sounds to me like some ex-Zipper employees might have been hired by 2K Games to work on BioShock... hearing this reminds me of the not-so-good times of Socom 2.

The whole opening storyline and art sequence of this game reminds me of a cross between Ridley Scott's Blade Runner and the Superman / Mighty Mouse cartoons of the 1950's.
This game's got talent.
The game itself has a whole different array of characters than I'm used to playing with. A little creepy girl and her big friend Mr. Bubbles, can't get much better than that.
