The last time Sony revealed info on Socom Confrontations was the day the Halo 3 Beta started.. They like to steal the momentum.
So its almost a 100% chance that their going to spill more beans regarding Socom 4 or Socom Confrontation very soon. Probably on the same day Halo 3 is released.

You obviously haven't seen my thread in the Confrontation section title "Slant Six Developers Care." SS have posted several updates dealing with the game, their last update coming just a week ago.

You don't think some of their updates aren't major? One post was huge, at least to the majority of the Socom fans. I agree, most of those "updates" are nothing major, but a couple were.
For one, it let us know they are communicating with us.
