Being a Transformers fan for over 20 years, I'm thrilled this game is coming out. Not only is it super realistic 21st century Transformers, but it is also sporting the original voice actors Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) and Frank Welker (Megatron).
As a TF fan, I think this will be the best TF game to date. I know I'll be buying it.
For an example, that trailer for Gundam PS3 was amazing, but, the game sucked.
Are you talking about the launch Gundam game? Nothing about it was even close to good or looking good, even in the trailer. The game looks like something between what ps1 and a sega saturn puked up after being on an all night bender together, while then fornacating giving birth to the most god awfully ugly love child in the past decade. Seriously, Sony should've committed hari kari just for releasing something as crappy as that.
The original Transformers are the only Transformers of consequence. If you like any other excremental version they produced after it, then you ain't worth a ****. By the way, Creep, Omega, who are your 3 favorite Transformers?

I would have to go with Soundwave (like Billy Bob Thornton, I like the way he talks), Grimlock, and Bruticus (made up from the combaticons). After Optimus was replaced with Rodimus the series started to go downhill.

I agree to an extend about G1. Though I think the writing was exceptional on Beast Wars, it still doesn't come close to the entertainment and nostalga value of the original series.
I think the reason G1 stands out so much is because it was a good 10 yrs until the US saw another Transformers series. Now there's a new one pretty much every season, that focuses on the latest toy gimmicks.
As a G1 diehard, I bucked against the movie whole-heartedly from the moment the character designs showed up online. It wasn't until the recent trailer that got me wanting to see the movie.
My top 3 TF would be Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave. I loved the dynamic between Megatron and so many of the other TFs, plus he had that huge f*ck off cannon on his arm. Starscream was such a great character, and even better because of Chris Latta's voice (who also did Cobra Commander). And Soundwave was just a BAMF with his tapes.
To me the Autobots are a bunch of pussies, and I've always thought Optimus was a tool.
Oh, and this video is hilarious if you like the Dinobots.
