That sounds strange. Didn't you dowload the content ( Throwback Maps ) for GRAW2 the very day you got it home and hooked up ? My 360 has been freezing on occasion when I've been playing GRAW2. In fact, it happened the other night when we were playing. Which in turn just made me shut it down for the night. Ever since my fiascos I've been nervous about Microsoft's Downloadable Content. My last crapout was right after I downloaded content from the Mini Golf XBLA game.

If you ask me.....I would'nt have posted that picture of you hugging your 360......Zero probably has it on his VooDoo Workbench and is sacrificing chickens over it as we speak.

Personally, I think it sounds like a GRAW2/Ubisoft problem... listening to what has been said reminds me a LOT of what used to happen when playing SOCOM online from time to time... but then again, this is only my opinion/thought.

Yet the same thing never happened when playing any other online game on my (recently traded in) PS2.

You know, the first two freezes I got, I seriously said to myself "god, fcking zero..."

Yeah, I picked up the DLC instantly. Like I said to Helix, it's got to be related to the DLC or the Dash update.

Actually this game has been acting very Socom-ish with rooms shutting down and people getting the boot. And now because of it the Video Game Urban-Legend Morons are out in force suggesting / telling people to unplug their mics so the room won't crash when it's loading.

Providing an update on my situation of not being able to get on Graw2 multiplayer:

I cannot even find the words to express the extent of my frustration with this situation at the moment. Just as a recap, the problem is that there's a problem with Graw2, Xbox Live, and my Gamertag. When I put in Graw2, and select multiplayer from the game menu, my entire 360 freezes instantly. All I can do is restart. The only fix I found online for the small number of people this is happening to is to create a whole new account.

I finally caved and called XBL support on Wednesday night. I was on the phone with them for over two hours, during which we tried the following:
  • Deleted and Recovered my Gamertag
  • Deleted all Graw 2 files from my HDD
  • Deleted all DL'd maps from my HDD
  • Reformatted my HDD
After all of this, we could not resolve the problem. I have no issues with getting on multiplayer with other games, just Graw2. After the 2hr call, I even went and rented Graw2 from my local blockbuster in the hope that the problem was with my disk. Even that didn't work.

What makes matters worse is that after the call, and doing all the deleting, the temporary account I had made started having the same issue after playing Graw2 with it for a little over a week. So, now I cannot play Graw2 multiplayer at all.

At the end of my 2hr conversation with support, I was promised an escalated call-back between 8 and 10pm last night. As proof of Murphy's Law, my Comcast internet service went out at 7:30pm, and did not come back on until 11pm. Of course this didn't matter because I never got the promised call back from XBL, and I spent the bulk of the evening racking up a highscore of over 230,000,000 in Pinball FX.

All I can say is that I am furious. I was pretty patient with the whole "my xbox died in it's first 5 months" problem, but now for the first time, I am seriously hating XBL.

I originally contacted Ubisoft, who directed me to XBL for troubleshooting the issue. This issue obviously originates in the background, somewhere in the handshake between XBL and Ubisoft. There's something corrupt somewhere with my Gamertag, and I want it fixed.

Now I'm going to have to find another 2hrs to blow with XBL support.

On top of it all, my wife is super-pissed about losing her Viva Pinata garden for the second time.

Sorry to hear about all of the troubles you've been having, Omega... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get to the bottom of it sometime really soon.

We have Tenchu co-op assassinations to play, man!

Well, the bad news is that I called XBL support after my call-backer stood me up last night, and I was told by "Craig" that my call-back is curiously scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

The good news is that he said he had two different people report the same problem today to him. So, there's a flag being raised somewhere within the depths of the Xbox headquarters over this issue.

In other news I stumbled across an incredibly awesome band on Myspace just now.
