History Channel: Civil War (360)
Hey I was just browsing my local Game Crazy while getting a new mic for my 360 (I just purchased one recently) and I actually saw a Civil War game on sale.
I was really shocked by seeing a different kind of FPS with a different kind of storyline for once, when others are so played out (WWII). So when I got home today, I checked it out and it seems that the History Channel played a major role in the battles and well, the history.
It also recieved an 8/10 by the players and the graphics don't seem bad at all. Check it out it seems pretty cool.
Here's the official site Activision Value - The History Channel®: Civil War

I just got my copy of this game through GameFly yesterday... haven't had a chance to play it yet, as I was out "celebrating" St. Paddy's Day with some friends.
One of the people on my friend's list has played the game, and some of the achievements sound kinda interesting, and some of them sound like they'd be totally easy to unlock.
I'll post my opinions of the game sometime later today, or tomorrow...

^^^BUMP^^^
While this is not the most perfect game I have ever played, it is far from being the absolute worst game I have ever played.
In one sitting, I unlocked 210 gamerscore points... could have been more, if I didn't have other things to do yesterday afternoon.
The weapon reloads are historically accurate, as muskets take forever and a day to load... literally. If I had to take a guess, it almost seems like the revolver is the fastest firing gun that you have from the start... six shots.

There is no online to check out... they only have downloadable content for this game, as far as I know.
To be honest, I don't think it would be very successful with a MP mode... people would complain about the reload times - I guarantee it.

So what is the single player? Is it just massive battles from the Civil War? Like hundreds of people fighting at once? Spill the damn beans.

Like I've told people before, it's almost like a carbon copy of Call of Duty... you're given missions to complete, while the action is set in a realistic representation of famous battles from the Civil War.
I think it's worth the $19 that I spent on it... I've played worse games that cost me more than $50 or $60 dollars... that's for sure!
