I play split-screen at my buddies house all the time. And I have to say that it's perfect. Not any other split sceen have I been able to play but GoW. You can actually tell what the heck you're doing and the split doesnt do that crap where half your peripheral vision top to bottom and side to side is gone.

IMO Gears of War is 10x better than R6. Well I'm not a big fan of first person games either so that could explain it, but R6 just doesnt have too good gameplay like GoW. If you were to ask me, I'd say get GoW.

It is a fairly good toss up, but in all honesty, I'd rather have Gear of War. I'll admit I've only played a small portion of Rainbow 6, but from what I did play, it doesn't have quite the exciting punch that the full frontal assault war aspect of Gears. Besides, chainsawing someone in half will never get old.
