Are you using a widescreen tv? On widescreens it splits vertically.

As far as I know there is no sure-fire way to change the split screen. Some people think that it depends on the TV your playing on while others think it's just random.

If you did start playing on a different TV, than that would explain that. But if you're not, then I guess it's just random.

Maybe if you kick your PS3 it will work, that'll show it who's boss.

Haha... thanks for the suggestive reasoning/solutions, guys... Yes, my TV is widescreen, but I've only played the game on the same TV all the time, half the time it was horizontal, now it's vertical... but you guys actually may be onto something.

I recall changing the ratio output for movies to 16:9 that same day it turned vertical. Perhaps that's the culprit? Geniuses, I tell you! Pure genuis!

hahah... yeah, anyone who wants in, shout me a hollla. I hardly ever see anyone on, but that's probably because everyone is on at normal times of the day.

I never realized how much I absolutely suck until I played online. I get owned every time. Ah well, still fun.

I'm surprisingly good at Resistance online. Count me in the clan.

Also, my co-op screen was always split left-and-right. Have a widescreen and had the dvd playback set to 16:9 since day one.

Ahh so that bit of information helps a lot. I just got my HDMI cable and it makes my TV sooooo much more beautifu! I will send you the clan invite just as soon as I sign in. I just took some sleepie pills though because I have class in the morning so probably not tonight.

I just played a bit of Resistance online. It was a 1 hit kills game, on some big *** ship. I forget the name of the map, but it was pretty cool. Anywho, it was fun as hell. I topped the score 3 games(first time online, by the way) then let me friend take over(who OWNS the game, I might add) and do worse. I rule.

EDIT: I just went like 37-9 on the boat map. i am offically the ub3r pw3n3r :) lol jk, but i really did just go 37-9 on the ship it was hardcore
