Bascially it's like Starship Troopers on a frozen planet and you're solo. There's also arctic pirates (lol) scattered around who are out to get you. You get a wide variety of weapons that are found all over the map.

This game has some great potential and I'll be picking it up when it comes out this winter.

just downloaded Lost Planet just wondering what it is about and is it a good game?

EDIT:

just got done playing Lost Planet. Capcom did a very good job with this game... good game play, and it looks like it's not a game you just fly through

Has anyone played the Colonies version of this game? It just came out recently and it's basically a Platinum Hits game but with extra stuff. It has new Single Player game modes, four new multiplayer maps, a lot more weapons that are multiplayer exclusive and more game modes online. The game is awesome for both single and multiplayer. the Akrid Hunter and Fugitive game modes they added online are bad *** and I can't stop playing it.

I downright loved Lost Planet 1. But with the games coming out now, I really don't feel like spending money for it again.

I kicked so much *** at that game online. :P

Akrid Hunter is worth it and beats all other games modes combined.

Lost Planet sucks honky-donk-bud-donk-a-donk. Which is why i sold it at Gamestop in exchange for Crackdown.
