I agree... the first time I found & used that weapon, I about laughed my arse off.
(Once I complete the single player mode in Saints Row, I will go back to Dead Rising to unlock more achievements...)

Once I make it through the 72 hour mode for the first time I'm going to try and go for the zombie genocider to unlock the mega buster. Another great weapon which is actually more useful than the excavator is the Wonderland clowns small chainsaw. If you get the engineering book and the criminology book then the chainsaw should last 6x longer than normal. I think the toybook will also work on it making it practically unbreakable. If you get acouple of the clown's chainsaws (they respawn at the ride) you can use them in the maintenance tunnels and get a shitload of kills once the car dies down.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I should be damn close to unlocking the "break 100 weapons" achievement...
EDIT: Are you sure that the mega buster has to be unlocked? I could have sworn that I found one in a store that's just inside of the movie theater.

If the Mega Buster is the MegaMan Weapon, it's in the Movie Theatre Gift Shop, It only shoots Tennis Balls " Lame " and you can get the Megaman helmet in the same place
Sadly, I have not touched this game lately because of Saint's Row , Socom, and Madden. I need to kick some Zombie Arse Tonight.........

Not me... I need to earn some cash in the online game of Saints Row... my character needs lots of customization!

that's the toy version. if you read the achievments, the unlockable megabuster is clearly identified as the "real" megabuster. it definitely does not fire tennis balls. it dosen't charge up like the megaman version but it will kill most bosses in 2-3 hits.

I thought there was only the toy one for sure. I think I'm I'm gonna stop posting anything about 360 Questions because I know as much about that system and games right know as I know about how to establish Governments in hostile foreign countries.
Useless.....
I'm sure there's alot of unlockables that I have know Idea about... I'm working on like 6 different games for three different systems, it's murda on the senses.

I conquered the 72 hour mode yesterday afternoon... wound up unlocking the "Legendary Soldier" achievement after I proceeded to kill more than 10 Special Forces clowns on my way out of the game...
Anyone know how to unlock the unlimited time mode that I've heard about? I was kinda depressed that it didn't unlock for me, seeing as how I was early at the helipad waiting for my ride out of the mall.

I recently just started the game over because I missed something that caused all of the Cases to fail. I figured it out, and now I'm further into the game than I've ever been. I just do the case missions and don't rescue anyone unless it's a Scoop mission. After I finish the last case I'm going to rescue everyone I can until the time runs out. Unlimited Time mode sounds awesome....i would play the game again if I unlocked that option..
Edit: I looked on this one site that had a guide and the guy said that you: Start the game over and you'll have your current level, then you have to kill 600 + Zombies after they storm the mall ( The old lady with the Dog scene ) in the beginning, No Less than 600. If you lose you health, Otis will Heal you ( Whatever that means ) . Then go to the control room save and then leave for the Warehouse. This goes right to the cutscene with the Queen Insect. Which is what triggers the Unlimited Time Mode. Which there are no missions, No Psycopaths, just straight up Zombie Killing and rescuing Hostages. The Guy who made the guide claims that this is a Glitch. IDK I think when I beat the game that will be it for me.
If you seek further knowledge on this . Send me a PM and I'll send you a link to the site that explains it in full detail.

Hmmmm... I'll have to give it a try and see for myself. Thanks for the info, Nun. I just want to unlock the kill (some insane amount of) zombies achievement...
