Tomb Raider: Legend (PS2, PSP, Xbox, 360, PC, GC)
Has anyone else played this game yet?
I got the PS2 demo for it a week or so ago through my OPM subscription, and I was WAY MORE impressed than I thought I would be!!!
Eidos should hire Crystal Dynamics to work on the next "25 To Life" game... 'cause they completely turned this series around, in my opinion. No longer is it such a chore to move Lara Croft around on the screen, her acrobatics & agility are enough to make Kratos' (God of War) head spin... she can pick up other weapons from fallen foes... she now has a grappling hook, binoculars, and a flashlight (kinda like Silent Hill) for all of her exploring needs.
I'm downloading the (free) demo for the game on my 360... I wanna see how much better it looks in high def... then more than likely, I'll rent or buy the full version from a store.
Anyone else have an opinion? Post 'em here!

I bought this game and it pwns. The new moves and levels are excellent. Croft Manor is more interactive and there are more rewards and upgrades for finding Gold-Bronze Rewards. I definetly recommend getting this game, Creep. I have the PS2 version and the graphics are great (not perfect, but it doesn't make much of a difference between PS2 and 360). But ya...get this game.
Oh and if you need help on levels, just PM me and I'll give you the link to the online gaming guide (which is free).

I agreed with everything that you said about the game until I read this part... the differences between these versions of the game are HUGE! For PS2 standards, it is way above average... but you can't even compare that version to its 360 "big brother".
And FYI... my copy of the game is already on its way from Gamefly... I was gonna buy it today, but the Best Buy that I stopped at was out of the (limited edition) Xbox 360 "Lara Croft" faceplate that was being given away when you purchase the game (only 10 per store). I'm sure that I'll wind up purchasing it, regardless.
Definitely one sweet game... on any console.

Yea...well then again I don't really care about the quality of a game's graphics. As long as the graphics aren't so bad that I can't tell what it is, then I don't care. It's all about the gameplay and layout that I go for.
Plus I prefer anything PlayStation over Xbox anyday, lol.

I have been playing it since Saturday and I think it's definitely the best one yet by far! The graphics are way better than the others (I do own them all).
I am actually stuck on one part if anyone can help. It's the black spectre boss thing and I can't figure out how to beat it. I pull all 4 switches on the wall to drop the hanging balls. Then i can get them swinging and electrified but then I'm lost as to what to do next. any help will be appreciated!
Thanks

That's where I'm stuck. I didn't realize there are switches for those balls. Get into the Magnetic Turret in the center of the room and aim at him and hold L1 to grab him and move him into the electricity and then press R1 to shoot him into it. If I'm wrong then click here for a complete walkthrough that I had found somewhere (please don't see this as an advertisement, mods).

It's good to see that we agree on something...
But having more realistic graphics sure helps out to "liven up" the gaming experience.

I figured it out. Throw the 4 switches, shoot the balls so they light up, then grapple the sword piece from above the center "ray gun". hit triangle and voila!
The game is way too short!!! Not much left after this part.

Oh, thanks...I'll try that when I get a chance. I was so clueless. How many more levels are after that one? If that is the ending, then this game sucks....that was like what...5 levels?
Maybe that means they are making another one?

Great game but one complaint. The Camere angles are horrid, It's so hard to manuever the camera and it just gets annoying. I played it on my 360, with the face plate oni >.>
Good game, not the best, but good game nonethe less
