If you're talking about the PS2 demo, then I agree with you.
But I think the 360 version definitely scores a few points higher... in my book.
Crystal Dynamics should be commended for resurrecting this once tired franchise.

I wasn't too sure about this game at first. After reading all that you guys have posted, I'll have to give it a try.
In the past, Creep's reviews have never steered me wrong, so I'll believe them again.
Now to go off topic a bit. Well ok, a lot. I've been toying with the idea of buying a 360. What are the pros and cons of it? What the online play/features like? Is it true there's now a free version of live?
If someone could perhaps PM the answers to me, that'd be great.

Thanks for the compliment... I merely tell the truth when I "review" a game.

Cons = a bit pricey, and you're better off getting the 360 platinum version (HDD & wireless controller included, for $400), and games are an extra $10 (mostly)... but Rockstar's upcoming Table Tennis game is only gonna be $39.
(eBay is the best place for cheaper, brand new 360 games... mostly "buy it now" auctions for $39 or $49.)
Pros = turning your console on OR off with the wireless controller, Xbox Live is a GREAT service, downloadable themes for your Xbox "dashboard", downloadable games, Xbox Live Arcade (soon to have Mortal Kombat & Street Fighter), downloadable demos, downloadable trailers, next gen graphics, etc etc...
(In short, it's the best $400 I have spent in a LONG time!!!)
If you do get one... spend the extra $19 and get an intercooler for your 360... best investment I've made for it so far... used to be able to cook eggs around the steaming hot console. It adds three additional fans to the back of the unit & lessens the risk of overheating.

I have to back Creep here. He was kind enough to invite me to his place to enjoy an afternoon session of 360 and it left me wanting more. It is an amzing system and has a lot to offer to the "average" players. It really will leave you in awe when you get into the options. Creep knows his stuff (I hope so since he is in school for this), and never hides his real feelings about games. If you do doubt his analysis, find a friend who has the 360 and try it out for yourself!

Eidos should hire Crystal Dynamics to work on the next "25 To Life" game... 'cause they completely turned this series around, in my opinion. No longer is it such a chore to move Lara Croft around on the screen, her acrobatics & agility are enough to make Kratos' (God of War) head spin... she can pick up other weapons from fallen foes... she now has a grappling hook, binoculars, and a flashlight (kinda like Silent Hill) for all of her exploring needs.
I'm downloading the (free) demo for the game on my 360... I wanna see how much better it looks in high def... then more than likely, I'll rent or buy the full version from a store.
Anyone else have an opinion? Post 'em here!

I love what Crystal Dynamics did with the franchise. They sure did a great job of making it feel like Tomb Raider again, with a little extra to please me. However, IT WAS WAAAAYYY TOO SHORT!!!! I beat it within maybe 6 hours. I miss being pissed off because I couldn't get past a certain level and throwing my controller just to pick it up again because I was bound and determined to get past it. Where have those quality hours go?..........

It's a good game, but compare it to any of the other tomb raider games you'll notice they have more levels. Apart from that I've got 99% completion but can't get the last gold! I'll stick to socom for a while.
