Anyone played the new MGS3 Online Yet?

Just wondering if anyone plays the new Metal Gear online. I checked it out last night and it wasnt to bad, controls get a little annoying, if you played the original game you probally know what im talking about. Other than that post your thoughts on it.

I like it. It has some things in it that I wish were in SOCOM, like the CQC and interactive environments (crashing through windows, etc.). I wish more people talked during the game, but that might change. The maps were cool, especially the one with the rooftops and I can snipe. I had a problem with creating games in the beginning because my router was blocking too much of my PS2, but I fixed that by assigning a static IP and activating the DMZ.

Good game, especially for the $30 price tag.

I hated it. There weren't any crosshairs, and I couldn't tell what I was doing.

My brother was having a problem creating games too, I was playing directly through the modem, I will tell him to look into that. Yeah I definetly liked things about the game, like the graphics, and the interactions with the environment, and definetly the CQC, they seriously need that in Socom. I still like Socom's controls much better though, and the crosshairs are nice. I mainly just dont like the crouch to prone and standing back up in MGS it gets annoying when someone is shooting the crap out of you and cant stand up, LOL.

I played MGS 2 Sons of Liberty a long time ago, but I was able to adapt quickly, mostly because I got pissed off and learned fast. The entire standing to prone feature sucks but it always has. Also, I noticed the lack of crosshairs can be substitued with the rifle laser and first person view on the scorpion. But that might have been that map only, I don't know.

It was a decent escape from SOCOM but I always go back because of the controls and the interaction with the people.

Apparently they're talking about MGO for MGS3 and not getting up to date with MGS4.
