Which platform is this Ghost Recon game on? I heard the Xbox 360 version just came out... just too bad that I don't have an Xbox 360.

Sounds like a "magic bullet" that you'd come across in SOCOM 1, 2, or 3... doesn't sound like much fun being shot through a wall. Unless of course, it was a wall that was made out of something that a bullet could penetrate... then that's okay in my book.

The game is more futuristic with new weapons and stuff. It probably wasnt just a standard thermal scope. But this isnt really to new. The us gov has this kind of stuff.
But the 360 version came out like a week ago, I think the xbox version just came out, if not pretty soon, and ps2 is late march.
But I saw some online clips of this and it was in first person, is this game only in first person online, like the other one was....That would be gay, you cant see the gun, you only see crosshairs, I hate that kind of ****.
Ghost recon is probably the second best tomclancy game rainbowsix is 100 times better but besides rainbowsix all tomclancy games suck and ghost recon is ok now that you can see your guy. oh and the one before this i dont think was first person online only first person online if oyu were playing splitscreen online and if oyu were playing normal splitscreen.

Words cant explain how unbelievably good this game is on 360. It makes Socom 3 look like pac-man. Im dead serious. Everything about the online and off-line play is phenomenal.
If you have 360, this is a must buy. The best game to date so far on 360 without a doubt. Even if you dont like shooting games. The enviroment (graphics and sound) make it feel as realistic as it can get. There is no lag.. gameplay is extremely smooth..loading time is instant. Online play is great..No cheaters seen yet.. 8 vs 8 online..There are atleast 10 online maps..several different types of online map modes.. Team Elimination, Solo Elimination , (every man for themself) , Control Points, Territory protection, etc.. You can even play Co-op online.. 8 online players versus the computer.
Theres also a ranking system like online RPG's have. The highest level i have seen so far is level 26. Im a level 3 noob. There are also several different leaderboard type stats. You can sort through class, game type, top players, etc.
I didnt think i could ever get back into shooter games again. I was wrong.
The game is ALSO so much more mature.. no kiddy crap on this game. You cannot Taunt in game like you can on socom. Which was a great thing NOT to add. When you get killed it tells you who killed you and thats it..You can also turn the option on or off after you get killed to see where the person was who killed you. There are a million options. Too much to explain. If you have 360, you must get this. c0mmand3r, whatcha waitin for?
Be warned that the 360 is the intended platform for this title. As regular XBOX owners have found out, there are significant differences between the 360 and XBOX versions.
The majority of XBOX owners on the Ubisoft forums are outraged with the degraded quality and poor craftsmanship of the XBOX version, and have returned the game swearing to boycott all future Ubisoft titles. Many have the opinion that the XBOX version was blatantly made worse in efforts to encourage people to get the 360.
A couple of my friends have it for 360, and concur with Veins' review of the game.
I and my clan will be getting it for the PS2, though I'm personally very leary about it. There have only been two screen shots published of the PS2 version, and they look terrible. Little to no details have been published about the PS2 version, though a box art scan of the European edition reveals that it is only 4 vs 4 online. Little hope exists that the US version will be different.
Also beware that the features most sites and retailers are quoting for this game are those of the 360 version, which do not exist on the XBOX and most likely the PS2 version.

Is the XBOX 360 worth buying because of this game? I enjoyed the last Ghost Recon game, but the crosshairs thing was annoying enough to sell the game back. I really really really hate Xbox, however I also hate waiting. Sony isnt good enough to us anyway..
This game may be the final reason for me to purchase an XBOX 360. I was just going to wait until they had released some info on when Halo 3 was going to be expected, but this game just looks too good to pass up. Also, another Rainbow 6 game called Rainbow 6: Vegas is coming out in Fall this year, which looks like it'll be even better than this game.
