Xbox 360 shooters vs. PS3 shooters

Shooters are my favorite type of game genre. I have looked at all the demos from E3 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. I want to know which you think have better games. I personally like PS3's line up better- Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Ghost Recon, Devil May Cry, Warhawks, and a lot more. Xbox offers Call of Duty 2 which I gotta give props, Perfect Dark (laggy, not good), Quake... well thats about it i think. What are you gonna get- ps3 or xbox 360?

deff ps3 man. PS3 will have a way bigger h-drive and it will have a processor..its basically a computer.

plus even though xbox sounds great now, it has crap for games compared to the ps3's lineup.

The XBox is a computer as well.

Anyway, I like PS3 simply because of Killzone. I wouldn't consider MGS4 to be a shooter, but MGS is one of the actual main reasons for me liking PS better than XBox. MGS is more of an action/adventure strategy type game rather than a shooter. If you are good enough, you really shouldn't have to shoot much at all (other than boss fights) throughout the game.

yet again i agree with mob. the ps3 will dominate, yes DOMINATE! i've seen previews and what not of 360 shooters, and i'm not very impressed. the only one i was impressed with was wheni saw cod at walmart, it looked so smooth i creamed. there is also perfect dark zero, but that game just doesn't lure me in like the ps3 lineup does. then there will be gaylo3, another replica of gaylo 1 with more weapons and maps, dual wield shotguns i would almost guarantee, and the same little kids saying "oMg pwNed you nub!"...even though we have too many of those on socom *cough*gb*cough*

How in the hell can people guess (that's right GUESS) that the PS3 will (and I quote) "dominate" the Xbox 360???

And the PS3 is superior to the 360 why??? Because you've seen some pre-rendered CG cutscenes from the new installment of Killzone??? Or MGS4 for that matter? C'mon people... don't speak out like mindless lemmings in the name of Sony. At least until you have all of the facts in front of you...

Sony has broken my heart (and my privates) on several different occasions... I'll give Sony one thing this time around - at least they are not rushing out the new PlayStation system to compete with the new arrival of the 360.

Ok, how about this. Hideo has never proven me wrong in the past and I have been amazed by all of the other MGS games and I completely love the series. I want to keep with MGS and follow it to the end. Does that one work?

As for Killzone, it was a pretty good success through number one and I can't wait for number two to be released.

I wish that I had the XBox360 for Perfect Dark Zero but that is about it. The only other good shooting game liscensed only to Microsoft is Halo and I'm not that big of a fan of Halo.

Killzone = overhyped Halo "killer". I was completely unimpressed by the game... personally speaking, of course.

Ummmm... have you not seen (let alone played) Call of Duty 2???? It's one of the few launch titles that I, personally, would LOVE to own.

Call of Duty looks VERY impressive and I DEFINITELY want to get it.

I don't know which console will have the better Shooter games. There's some really good and bad ones there.

For the PS3, I look forward to Killzone 2 and MGS4 most out of them all.

XBOX 360, Call of Duty is going to OWN and there's the Halo series which is good, but not GREAT.

There are other games that are yet to come out or be announced anyway.

Finally... my point, exactly! Nobody will really know (for certain) which ones will be good & which ones will be bad seeing as how the PS3 and Nintendo Revolution aren't even out for purchase yet!!!

Hell... they didn't even show anything new from either one of these next-gen consoles at the most recent Tokyo Games Show months ago.

i said the ps3 itself will dominate, not just the shooters. i've read all there is to read on the ps3 and 360, compared them both and whatever. now that i look at it, i should not have said dominate, but i definatly feel 360 will take a swift kick in the jewels when people realize the wonders of the ps3.
