Xbox 360 shooters vs. PS3 shooters

metal gear solid 4 is alone worth the total price of the ps3+the game.

Hand downs, MGS best series ever. Im buying a ps3 just for that game.

ps3 as of right now has the better lineup, more game series that I am interested in, but xbox has its fair share of games that are defentily worth a buy, but I like the game series I am more familiar with. ( devil may cry, metal gear solid, etc)

I never tried to make any points of which system is better, I was just stating which i would perfer!

As for Call of Duty, I forgot about that game. I haven't seen it played or played it myself. I have only heard other people talking about it and watched commercials which really don't say much about a game.

Hell... they didn't even show anything new from either one of these next-gen consoles at the most recent Tokyo Games Show months ago.

I know. People just see like one game for the PS3 and they'll be like "The XBOX 360 will get OWNED by the PS3!"

These kinds of people need to at least see what the other console has to offer. Then you'll know.

Anyway, I like PS3 simply because of Killzone. I wouldn't consider MGS4 to be a shooter, but MGS is one of the actual main reasons for me liking PS better than XBox. MGS is more of an action/adventure strategy type game rather than a shooter. If you are good enough, you really shouldn't have to shoot much at all (other than boss fights) throughout the game.

agreed the only reason im gonna get a ps3 is for mgs4 but back on topic i think xbox360 will have better shooters just because of halo3/2/1

The halo series sucks. You can only play that game for so long before it gets boreing. You need friends over to have fun with it.

That's the main reason why I like Halo so much. Playing multiplayer can be alot of fun and the maps are cool. I don't care about the campaign or cutscenes or videos. I play gun games mostly for the multiplayer action. I'll only do campaign until I beat it on ALL modes. Then I just forget about it and play around with people.

What really is a dissapointment to the Socom series is that you can't do multiplayer unless you have a network adaptor. But what's good about online play is that people can't screen look and you get to face other people that are better and be able to play bigger matches and games are a lot more fun.

In halo, when you play online, it's alot of fun playing CTF with alot of people instead of just a one on one or two on two match. You can be able to make the teams' chances of winning harder because there's more people and the players on teams could be really good players or n00bs.

You just never know who you'll face when you're online...

lol I know. Every person says xbox 360 owns ps3. Then I ask why and they simply reply with this: Halo 3.

Wow we wont be able to tell which has better games/shooter until they are both out for a while and they have a chance to establish what games that will be released.
