WELL i've had my FAT *censored* ps2 for almost 3 years and not ONE thing has gone wrong with it. i've already said it before its how the owner handles the ps2 and everything. and yeah, unless your a technician leave the insides alone because you WILL break something in there. you can't expect to be able to just take crap apart and go "duhhhh what does this do" and prod everything and have it work only to break it and try to get a new ps2. if it happens once and you don't like it don't buy another sony is a bunch of rich asians that could probably care less.

so does a friend of mine (3 years and going) that has a previous model than mine. wich i net you do too. ive heard it was less likely to happen on YOUR model of PS2 and any before SCPH 50001.
but HELL i have read tons of complains about this SCPH 50001 model as being the crappiest one that breaks appart for nothing.
man i never took apart my PS2. an experienced technician did, and replaced lens. wich broke almost exactly after a year. and next year (this year) it definitely broke. besides, after lens change, after a year, games were skipping right before PS2's motherboard went to hell.
i took GOOD care of my PS2, so PLEASE dont face me with THAT "cliche reason", mister. It just broke. plain and straight. clear as water. REASON? I WISH I KNEW.
