i dont get this:

why do ppl play socom and go on socom forums then brag about halo??, wtf i don't get some ppl. Neways i got halo on pc, i havent played it for a year, too bust with battlefield, CS and Socom, i wud sell it for $1.00. Alien plasma crap, BS. PS3 will be better, cuz they will copy Xbox 360 and make theirs even betta. Gran Tursimo 4, ace combat 5, killzone, what more jack cud u want. SCREW XBOX (RAge!!), bill gates is getting quite desperate releasing halo on the exact date at which ps3 comes out. Hes a chicken :).

I was wondering the same thing. To be honest, I feel that each individual game has it's own good & bad points... and arguing about it is kind of like peeing in the wind. Don't you think?!?!??

I think if people had both games, they probably wouldn't be saying one was better than the other. I had both games, and I think they were both really solid. Except for the story. Halo 2's was a let down.

Why do people that dont have xbox's always bash it?

Everyone knows ps3 will be better, but 360 will be more reasonable and fair. You get a really really good system for a good price, and you can argue all you want about it and you know its true.

Ps3 will be godly, But way to much money there dude, sorry!

Also like the dude up there said, you can like socom and halo both. If you play ps2, that doesnt mean you have to hate the xbox. If you dont like the game, then dont play it, easy as that, dont tell off other people and make fun of them because they might like it.......

also, Bill Gates isnt chicken, He is smart. Wouldnt you do the same, Halo 3 will be the best competetive tool against the ps3. Halo 3 will break another record for games sold in a certain amount of time.

Btw, I think halo is a more, well developed game then socom. Halo is a 1st person, socom is a 3rd person, There 2 whole different games. Socom and halo shouldnt be compared to eachother.

socom and halo CAN'T be compared to each other. they may both be shooters but ina different sub-genre. halo is a fps futuristic and socom is a 3rd(sometimes first) person shooter realistic. and you can't compare two games on different systems because there will ALWAYS be fanboys who will automatically say xbox sucks or ps2 sucks or anything like that. BUT, i know i have dogged on the xbox and halo many a times. its all about preference.i have played halo many times, owned many people, but i just can't play it for very long.

as for the next gen systems the 360 and ps3 are both gonna kick *** so quit trying to make one seem bettter, just pick your system buy it and like it. enough said

I am sooooooo freakin' glad that someone else around here thinks this... I patrol these "off beat" forums with more regularity than the SOCOM-related ones as of late. I thought those were getting too boring with the "noob gun this, noob gun that" going around. Now I come here and see the "whatever console that I bought rules above all others" spamfests...

Do these fanboys hate the game or the system? I'm betting that if there was no Xbox and Halo was on the PS2 there would be no rivialry. Please the reason these rivialrys go on like this is becuase of the fan boys. Halo I've played it. Its loads of fun if you got the Xbox's connected to each other and you got a group of friends over then its a blast. I like both Halo and Socom. But Socom a little more. Which is why I have a PS2 instead of a Xbox. But belive me if both were on the same system everyone would have fun instead of all this pointless argueing over some old games.

Exactly. One of my friends said halo sucks and never played it and then he played because he was bored at my friends house and he got hooked on it.

And don't say something sucks if you don't know what your talking about or even have it.
