Hey everyone,
Just curious if anyone has had a chance to pick up and play the new BF2 demo. I ordered mine off of ebay for $3.00. Just got it yesterday and man it is hot. Tons of action, all out war.

Only thing I don't like is the lack of team work that will be involved. At least that is my impression so far of playing it once.

Just thought I'd throw the topic out there if anyone is interested...

ya i got mine too it's really good but i'm not sure if i'm gunna get it when it comes out mainly cause i got no money, i might get it wif my bruter's cash

I played it at a gaming center, and I was not impressed at all. With all of the graphics set to the highest settings, they were still terrible. You can barely tell the difference between a guy and a rock. And then theres the spawn campers. Ill spawn and get sniped instantly. The vehicles are unbalanced. The weapons ineffective. I think it was just a poorly made game and will never compare to BattleField 1942.

I just got one from my friend and its GOOD and there will be teamwork involved with the good clans. Im getting Socom III first though. And the wepons are very effective i shot 3 round bursts across a river with an ak and got like 5 -6 people with rockets cuz they couldnt see me. And helicopter are awsome. There balanced awsome. They are hard to drive though.

The demo is online for PS2 and XBox, PC just has regular Battlefront 2, which is better.

I've had the demo for about a week now and I think it's great, but I'd rather spend my money on Socom 3.

I played the BF2 demo and flat out loved it. Almost my whole Socom clan has went out and got the demo. Most of them have already prepaid for the BF2 game. I have prepaid for both Socom3 and BF2. I think both will do well....... And both will have me :)

If it's anything like the PC game, it will put Socom III to shame. The sheer intensity of the gameplay is out of this world.. the options are limitless.. and teamplay is a critical component of the game, way moreso than Socom. Theres no solo running and gunning in this game.. Well you can do it as the "Special Ops" character, but you have to be really sneaky... and the vehicles are so awesome, they are the only way to really traverse the massive battlefields with any sort of speed. Plus driving some of them is fun as hell... flying around the battlefield in a buggy is more fun than most ATV games I've played! and nothing feels better than running over some soldiers in your tank, and hearing their bones crunch under your treads.

I got the PS2 demo for this game on Saturday (from EB Games) but I can't get the 'effer to get past the Gamespy logon. Gives me some kind of error with my email address during the new account registration thingie... anyone have a suggestion?

Ive had it since madden came out and i wasnt too impressed. Unless im missing somethign its only first person view which sucks IMO now that im use to 3rd person. The classes are cool and vehicles are cool (esp the helis) but most people werent talking nor playing as a team. Deaths for fake looking etc. Just not polished at all...although this is a demo so i cant hold all that against it but still...no shooter on the current systems will surpass socoms "feel" while playing IMO.
