Japan worth it?

My parents are going to JApan this summer, and i was about to go. But then i find out its 20 HOURS on the plane, non-stop. I dont think i can handle that. What do you think? Is it really worth 20 hours there and back for a 10-day stay? Or is a long trip anywhere worth it, for that matter?

hell yes it is, the culture is beautiful...the women well you know...just the whole "scene" is great.you will kick yourself in the @ss one day and regret it forever if you dont go!!take the oprotunity while you can....it will be an experience of a life time.i dont get to travel to overseas places now that im no longer in the military and i can say i miss it.the worlds a BIG place...go see it!

The only thing I can see bad about this place is the transportation. There are so many people that a car is not even worth it. The trains are packed FULL to where the last few people have to be literally packed into the train car and women are even abused on trains because they are so full no one see's who did it. :P

I say no because what the hell is there to do over in Japan? No Disney Land or cool stuff like that an your not going to get laid hanging around your parents so it seems like a lose lose situation. However going all the way around the world an seeing a different culture I guess could be cool.

That's what i've been thinking as well. I mean, they might have some peachy scenery and nice architecture, but i can find that in the U.S. Idk if 40 hours on a plane is worth it.

EDIT - The one thing is though, that i can buy some sweeeet electronics there for half the price and months before it is released here. Maybe i'll get one of those robots.

It's a beautiful country! For the most part, the peolpe are very friendly. I was there three of four times, while in the Navy. Didn't get much of a chance, to do much. But one time, some of us went to Tokyo for the day. The bullet train was really fun. It wasn't that crowded. But this was back in the late 60's/early 70's. Go see Tokyo tower. You can see where Mothra and Godzilla hung around.
Take a couple of good books, for the trip. Or something like a Gameboy, if allowed. And they do show movies. Get some sleep.
Oh, and them driving on the wrong side, will really trip you out!

go for teh reasons stated above and just read a book or 4 on the plane trip.
