The best weapon I think you should use in Hydroelectric is the M4A1 SD or SR 25 SD. I think any silenced weapon would be the best if you want a stealthy game. It helps you to get a better grade after the game and easier to take the terrorists out. If your having problems with alot of terrorists shooting at you. I would suggest taking one of their 9mm or F90's. If you need any other advice, just talk to me on msn.
Best weapon is most definetely m40a1 with the mark 23sd. You dont need to avoid the guards, just kill the first one w/ the sd, and quickly shoot the patrol with the m40. The guards on top of the building wont notice you and you just pop them. Then, grab the subs, theyr better than you think. You're done.
I just finished that mission on commander actually, what you need is m4a1 sd give JESTER a hk5 sd and 1 person on BRAVO a Sr-25 sd. For getting past the guard and the bonus objective at the beginning prone your way until you get to the second set of gray wiring. Then wait for the girl to tell you when to move. At the end of the three towers look past the wiring and take out the camera. Then move to the door across from you go inside take out camera and you should be good.

Hydroelectric isnt very complex. Make everyone on the team have the M4A1 SD, take out the first guard, then rcon the patroll for the points, then while they have the conversation about the elevator, take em out then run in the building, take out the cameras, and the guards, and get into the dam. Just keep fireteam on Fire At Will, and go defuse the bombs quickly, then kill Quixada, then run to the basement and take the triggerman out. Thats basicly it, all you have to do is run and shoot. This level is great for practicing for online play. Be sure to look out for PapaSmurf's Strategies: Hydroelectric!! Im making it on Friday, along with Stranglehold.

In Hydroelectric my best advice is start with the Sr-25sd and a Mark25sd with double ammo then a set fo flashes and a set of smokes. Its hard to use any other grenades inside anyway. Stick to the shadows and eliminate any guards you see silently with one shots. Once you get inside the main dam area clear each part of the dam of every guard before you move on. this way you don't get any suprises. Some of the parts are tricky, if you want to switch for an enemy weapon such as the M3 midway down, it's nto a bad idea. Always stick together and watch around every corner. I suggest playing this mission a lot like a splinter cell mission. Stealthy and effection not guns blazing rambo style like you can do on every other mission.
