Connection Problems/Issues

for some reason i cannot download this new patch.it freezes at the same spot everytime.i need to get online bad cause im bored(LOL).can some1 help me out with suggestions on how to fix this or tell me how to fix it(if u know how)?THANX

I too had the same problem at one time. I bought a new memory card, that didnt help. So, I bought a disk Doctor( a thing that cleans and taked the scratch out of the disk) and it worked. If you dont want to buy one of those, jus buy the SOCOM II Greatest hit CD ( Priced at $16.99 Best Buy)

Ok, please help with out with this problem, I have a wireless router, and it has been disconnecting me alot lately, and now it's been so bad that I havn't been able to connect to SOCOM II the past two days. I think the problem may either be the fact that I have four connecting settings that I can connect with, like the menu you come to after you press online, I have four settings there, and only one of them works most of the time, and most of the time it's random.

OR I think it's that there two settings on the router itself, one is called "??? Reset" and then the other it a long wors starting with "Arc", but I can't remember which one is for LAN gaming and which one is for Online gaming. By the way, I have a "Wireless G-Game Game Adaptor", or atleast that's what it says on the side.

Any help, anyone??

If you have a linksys wireless are you connected wireless or are you directly connected to the router / modem???

You might have to open up some ports on your router go see Sticky topic connecting in Hotel's If you have a wireless gaming adapter that you use to connect to your router most likely you need a firmware update. If you need to know how this is done its posted several times over on this website "search function Connection"

Yea I am having a few connection problems. Every other game i get booted from socom online all together back to the title screen. It never kicks me off the internet on the computer, just socom, Ive asked around and everyone says thatim never lagging, WAHT IS THE PROBLEM!?!?!?!? :( :( :( :(

I am in dire need of help. If i cant get socom running ive get nothing else to do in the early weekend mornings. I cant connect to the socom 2 internet! When i try to log on it says connection failed. I am hooked up through a router, and i have tried all the slots i possibly can, but still, no luck, not using the router isnt a possibility because it has all my connection stuff hooked up to it. Ive tried hooking things up differently, rebooting, startiing over, everything. Ive used the same hardware since i got online about a year ago. Is it possible my ethernet cord could be old/overused and i need a new one? PLEASE HELP.

I am able to connect to SOCOM II online, however when I try to enter a game it stops and gives me the response "you have experienced a multiplayer connection error, try another game". This has been happening for 3 days now and tried everything I can think of to repair the problem. Can anyone assist?

I posted this already but I still cannot get into a game. I get connected online. I can get into the briefing rooms, but it won't let me join a game. It keeps stopping and saying "you have experienced a multiplayer connection problem". I've reset the PS2, modem, router, countless times. I've checked all connections, (which shouldn't be the prob because I can online fine). Still nothing works. Anyone have any ideas? Is there anyone you can call to get this stuff fixed?
