also when a game has been 4ced no last words should be said, this also causes lag.

Can you say rumour?! There is no proof whatsoever to this, people just like to blame things...

The reason your DSL is quicker at home is because, your Home computer is connected right to the internet. ( Or throught a router, but it is still basically connected to the internet). See, now at school the computers might not be really fast. Or the Network that your school used, might not be so fast. The data is transferred as fast as the network can transfer it. Same for you at work

Omfg, you aren't serious. It could be a number of things (rumours...) like how fast each person chooses their stuff from the armoury...that causes lag too Or how fast everyone greens up, that causes lag too. Each are as absurd as the rest, could be random lag, or could be the host, you can't pinpoint it on one thing (even if you did, I highly doubt it'd be something as ridiculous as that).

Just to clear one thing up. DSL Gets slower the farther away you go from the base station (usally the main phone building). So alot of people may live close to that building giving them omtimal speed for dsl 1.5 mb/s about. but people who are farther from the base experince lower speeds low as 96kb/s. so the people with good connections can host while the people who are farther away cant and will become alot of lag. DSL CAN HOST GAMES IN MOST SITUATIONS.

Myths about things that cause lag are more annoying that people who use the damn F90. Talking doesn't cause lag, bad connections cause lag. Who would have thought? Shocking, I know.

Well what that post DOESN'T explain is why Socom's ping lag is 500 milaseconds, which they clearly say would be unbearable for PC games. Yes thats like half a second. I play PC games online and my ping is below 100 most times so why is it so laggy with Socom? Why would my ping be 100 on PC but 500 on Socom? It's the same exact connection. There has to be something wrong with the game itself and the way it handles information?? I dunno but 500 is A LOT. Basically I don't think that post solved any questions at all.
