Getting Online In Hotels

I'm an airline pilot and I take my PS 2 everywhere I go. Lately I have had trouble getting online at hotels that offer high speed interenet. I call their support and they have tried giving me a dynamic and static address. I have also manually configured everything, but still nothing. I have been able to play before at some hotels but the last two times I get connected, then authenticated through DNAS, but then when it looks for the universes that is where it stops. The support rep says that he can see it stop from his end as well but doesn't know why. Any help on how to configure my settings for this problem would be greatly appreciated as well as knowing what it's doing when it looks for the universes and why am I not getting past that point.

I often have problem with the universes, all i do is w8, and the universe appears, dat's how it works for me, don't know if u have any otha problem :D

I do wait, and I still get the error of connection failure. This is even after trying all of the manual setup with both dynamic and static ip addresses. Anyone else.

are you completely sure that you are setting the configurations on your network adapter correctly? are you saving them?

ummmm, lets see... im trying to think of troubleshooting questions :P

maybe the server was just down... that does happen to some people sometimes but twice in a row? hmmm... thats really all i can think of for this. there is nothing to reboot and only one cord. trying telling the support guy that he's an a55hole and needs to learn how to do his job right :P

They have actually been very helpful, and they don't understand why either. Like I said some hotels do work, but the last 2 haven't. I'm just wondering how to set up my game settings to allow it to get past the universes. They said getting online, and getting through the DNAS authentication is like 75% of the battle. Can anyone help me on the other 25%?

Can you give the sequence in how you set your lap top to you ps2 to play at hotels? I'm very curious?

I don't have a laptop. Soemtimes you just have to plug in the cable and start playing, others you have to call customer support and they can authenticate you to get in. However, it doesn't always work becuase they can't seem to get past the universes all of the time and that is the whole purpose of this forum is to try and figure out how to configure the ps2 or tell the support reps how to configure there internet to allow us to get into SOCOM 2.

hey man, i go 2 my dads 2day so ill have him tell u wat 2 do. he is a computer genius and always out of state. he never plays out there but thats wat he does. hes comin in from new jersey workin on a canadian battleship b/c it still has tech. of the 60's. so ill have him get on here.
