PS2 HDD question/answer thread
I would like to make this the official board for all topics and disscussions regarding the new ps2 HDD. I only know i have reserved it at game stop and it come out on wednesday. And Info would be appreciated by all I will try to keep it updated with my own findings.

Like i said i have been looking everywhere for info. I found a pick of the new hdd and it looks like it is also a network adapter. I could be wrong but from the pick it would seem to be one piece hdd and adapter. Good luck finding stuff and post any questions you have.

Umm....no. Its not a network adaptor too, it just attaches that way. And I saw that three new levels are to be coming out for socom to download that are allegedly none of the same types of levels that you've played in single player. (Russian, Brazilian, etc.)

That sounds very interesting, I just wish they would lower the price and get rid of the game included with the hdd. If anyone wants to they can buy me one!! :D

Noone truly knows what's gonna be available for the harddrive when it comes out tomorrow.Alot of people think just because Sony/zipper hasn't announced anything that nothing will be available upon release tomorrow.I on the otherhand believe something will be available tomorrow ,at least im hoping.Sony never made an announcement about the patch coming out,but just like magic it came out of nowhere with no notice.I will be getting my HDD tomorrow hopefully before noon.I will let you guys know whats available.

HDD ships this week. There will be one new map when you get it from what I've read. Can't remember the name, but it sounded really cool. Go to the IGN boards and search for HDD, you should be able to pull up the thread. It had a link to the PSX Magazine article that mentioned the new HDD map.
