M14 on seals, your thoughts about it???

I don't even use the M14 on terrorist, I think the STG is the better weapon for terrorists, IMO as good as the IW-80

I just hate it how people limit themselves to using only 1 gun, its very depressing how the skill level on this game has decreased greatly...

any gun if shot right will go thru a persons head and kill someone behind it...ive tested it with many **** guns....the only guns that didnt really work were seal pistols and terrorists pistols with the exception of the d.e.....but dude even the 552 will go thru a persons head and kill someone behind thm if you line it up...so no...and m14 doesnt create lag...its actually one of the better guns to chose in lag...

i have been playing this game for about 1 yr. and i've flip flopped through guns but i would have to say that the m14 is the best.
Also to me, the best sniper is the m87elr. Look for me in us east rooms!!!

Dude, why do all these people complain about the i-dub and m14??!!! If you're too much of a freakin noob to take someone on with an i-dub I have no pity for you. Secondly, don't complain about the amount of usage the guns get. Point #1: There really aren't that many guns to choose from if you think about it. Point #2: ANY GUN CAN BE A NOOB GUN if used in the right hands. What's the difference in getting 18 kills in a game with an i-dub as opposed to getting 18 kills with an HK5K? No noob is going to get 18 kills with an i-dub!!!! noobs spray and pray! and bullets from any gun hurt...a lot....Point #3: Making all the guns equally powerful and well-rounded would seriously take away from the gameplay! Think about it...all the guns have the same power, accuracy, and all that crud...it would royally suck. So, there's my spill on the matter. I'm just sick and tired of hearing all this crap about noob-guns...just suck it up and play your game...however you play it best.

1) I would respect someone more if they went 18-3 with an HK5K more than going 18-3 with an IDUB, would you not?

2) I am certainly not a freakin noob to take on somebody with an idub, I have repetedly owned them again and again with guns like the AK-47, assortment of pitols, 552SD, STG etc etc. Thats not what I saying though, I was saying how depressing it is how the latter part of the socom community can only use 1-2 guns.

3) Not many guns to choose from? WHAT?! Don't gimme that BS, there are tons. At LEAST 7 assault rifles, 5 pistols, 1 shotgun, 3 sniper rifles, 2-3 SMG's. Dont forget about the MISC weapons either.


4) I didnt say I wanted guns to hurt equally...dunno where you came up with that....

5) I'd like to see you say this after you get killed by an idub from pretty far away, because its so much faster than your gun, and far more accurate.



All I was saying is people shouldn't limit their abilities, I'm sure deep down they have some sniping skills, or another gun skills you know?

Ya, people do only use like 2 guns. A hell of a lot of people need to pick up a copy of HALO. Too few people use strategy. People complaining about the guy who camped, and thus making them wait (OMG!!!!!!!!!!! ) 2 minutes. Nobody want to have 7 guys mad at them. Come on, people, I've used literally every single gun, and I often switch between 5 different guns in one game. If I'm not doing good with one gun, I switch and things usually turn around, at least a little. How can you use only one gun?

Hey man, sorry, I didn't mean for it to sound like it was directed towards you. I was just using your words as an example. My bad dude. Anyway, all I was saying was that I'm sick and tired of people complaining about "noob" guns. I think you should just use whatever you're good with and what you like using. The game is intended to be a realistic war game and a soldier doesn't exactly get to complain and argue about what guns his opponents use...see what I'm saying?? Also, if you've been playing for a while, you have to admit that the gun choice does seem to get smaller and smaller the longer you play. Hopefully they'll release some new ones on the HDD or another SOCOM will come out soon, heh.

I use a different gun on every different map. Just a habit I got in.. I'll give a small list of the gun I usually use as a Seal.

Blizzard - m4a1sd
Frostfire - m63a or m4a1
Abandoned - m4a1sd
Desert Glory - m4a1
Nighstalker - HK5sd
Rats Nest - HK5sd or m4a1sd
Crossroad - m4a1
Vigilance - M60E3 or m4a1sd

As you can see I switch it up a lot. As a terrorist I mainly stick with the M14 although I'll use the 552SD on maps like Sujo, Sandstorm, etc.

We all know Seals have an advantage, IW or not. They still have the M4A1, or god forbid, they use the M14 which is the best terrorist rifle, period. Terrorists should get the grenade launcher. Not using it just gives the Seals too much an advantage. It makes no sense that M79s are basically banned, while IWs are just frowned upon.
