Well I finished my first franchise season with the Phils. I lost in the World Series to the Os 4-2. With the fantasy draft I did see that they really didn't get any "star" players with their best pitcher being Dave Bush and best position player being Carlos Lee.

Three of my players made the All-Star game though. (David Wright, RP Brandon League, and LF Ryan Braun)

Lucky. Ever since the patch, I can't find a good set of sliders and can't play an inning without something totally out of whack happening. Before the patch, I had a set of sliders where each game was different and enjoyable.

The set I was using makes hitting impossible now (I'd get like 3 hits against a #5 starter)

The set I picked up after the patch makes pitching impossible. You can never hit the spots. I get stop right on the location part of the meter and instead of a slider low and outside, it's right over the middle and sent 400 feet.

I just tried to play on default sliders and I got 3 outs on 3 pitches, all of which were pitches no pro baseball player should be swinging at unless they're protecting with two strikes.

I'm don't have much patience or time, so I doubt I'll be able to sit down for a week and play through an entire Spring Training to get good results. I'll probably just look around whats on SportsConnect.

If I don't have any luck, I may be doing a franchise with manager mode and a RTTS. I could probably just take my old set and make the necessary adjustments.

No doubt, the 2K8 games are crap! He does look better this year than last though, when in '07 he looked like and elephant.

I just past the first interleague series in my 2nd season. My ace, Scott Kazmir is 11-0 and has an ERA under 1.00. As for my other pitchers, which are Cole Hamels, Eric Milton, JP howel, and David Wells (who surprisingly didn't retire) have an ERA around 4.50 each.

Jeff Francour has over 20 homeruns and I'm 28-12, two games up on the Braves.

I just had a game interrupted for a moment because there was a beach ball in right field. Griffey picked it up and sent back into the crowd, which I can see Griffey doing.

What the hell. They just flashed back to Norris Hopper's home run and it froze. When it finally unfroze, it showed Brandon Phillips taking a pitch for a strike and now Adam Dunn is up and batting right handed with Hopper's stance.

I got a hit and it showed Dunn on first in a cut scene. But now it's showing Hopper on first.

Man... good for you with getting in time to play this game, Irish... if only GTAIV wasn't taking so much of my time, I'd probably be enjoying it as much as you seem to be.

It's a cool game but for some reason i kind of like 07: The Show better. Maybe because i played it longer than 08.

Haha I didnt no beach balls could come on the field, Anyway the same thing kinda happened to me, Kosuke hit a homer and then when Jim Edmonds came up Kosuke was on first.

Was checking out the PS forums and here is A-rod in someone's franchise:
