My last console started to scratch discs and wouldn't read 360 games after 2 days of play. My 2nd console is the one with the RROD.
Today I called MicroCenter Support, since my warranty is expired and explained to her that I have a broken 360 but its not the same on the recepit due to Microsoft sending me a refurbed one. I'm then told I need to fax proof that they took in the first, and gave me the second before they could claims out that console in order to send me another. So, I had to call Microsoft. I spoke to an Arab WOMAN (twice as hard to understand). After countless times of her saying ok Jane...Drew and her telling me what the RROD is (like I need to know, kinda my job to know this **** anyways...) she tells me my warranty is expired. To which i say "Yeah..." and explained to her AGAIN that I needed something to fax MC. BUT, it seems that the 3 year warranty protects EVERY 360 console. Meaning, you have a 3 year warranty to protect against only the RROD, and one year for any other problems.
