i personally think its a superb addition to the mario kart family,the online modes are awesome,which i have to say may have been needed as there isnt much reply value single player once all the unlockables have been got and golds have been achieved on all races,even the time trial modes are addictive,there's nothing like trying to shade that 100th of a second of somebody elses time, i do have to say the wii wheel is a good peice of kit in itself although i prefer the gamecube controller method (maybe im old fashioned? lol) i think quicker turns can be made the controller. anyways please be nice to my comments as this is my first game opinion post on here!

I've been told by two of my friends that this game was awesome and probably the best online functioned game for wii. I might have to get this game.

How are the steering wheel mod for the remote? isnt it just a piece of plastic that holds in the remote? My friend told me that they have a good deal at Costco where you can get the game plus 4 steering wheels for $60. Is it worth it?

yes i think that would be a great deal for $60 with 4 wheels, i suppose any third party wheel will work just as well as the nintendo official one,although it wouldnt look as classy,but i guess it is just a holder for the wii remote.

If Double Dash was Socom 2 then this new Kart so far seems like Socom 3.

More advanced but not as much fun.

Here are my problems and concerns......

F*** Nintendo for making it very difficult to unlock everything when you have to face a nazi brigade of disgruntled computer karts/bikes. These sons of asian-made bungholes have no mercy for the human element that attempts to compete. Prepare to get the snot beat out of you at most levels.

F*** the time trial mode where you have to beat a ghost of the greatest karter ever on all 32 tracks. If you want to try and beat a 16 yr old chinese kid at a game preprogrammed in his DNA than this mode of play is for you.

F*** not being able to play a friendly 4 player game WITHOUT 8 other computer karts who are obviously still bitter about the whole atomic bomb thing.

So in summary, compared to the fun that Double Dash was for 4 players, this game sucks, unless of course you and your friends are used to getting the crap beat out of you). While this opinion is coming from a 35 yr old who may be slightly disgruntled at life, I'm sure that those who have nothing better to do with their time can easily unlock what I've already given up on.

And I really wanted to see the super special ending after beating all 32 ghosts and getting 1st place in all circuits.

Speaking of which. Why the hell is Mario Kart Sold Out all over the land both online and in retail stores ??? I've never heard of a game being out for well over 2 months and you can't find a copy anywhere. I know Wii's are more available now but still, there should be plenty of copies of Mario Kart. Same thing goes for Wii Fit, even though I have no interest in that.

I'm not trying to diss the game by any stretch, but I'm still a bit shocked that this game won "racing game of the year" on the G-phoria awards on G4TV.

It was up against some serious competition... which made wonder how in the blue hell it won the award in the first place.

well i have a wii and all i ever get is disapointment with it. if they made games for more mature audiences and didnt have the god terrible friend codes any online wii game would be way more fun

im just sticking with my PS3 and PC

I thought that game was good, But not as good as Mario Kart Double Dash. I liked the coursed. But I thought that the Battle Mode wasn't as good as the Double Dash one. But I still like the game.
