I haven't seen that reported anywhere, but I haven't had time to keep up on the news lately either.

It's an astonishing feat if they actually did make 199 alternate endings. With a number that high, I'd be willing to bet it's exaggerated a bit. I mean, what guy is going to play through to validate that claim?

How would you even go about unlocking that many endings? There's no real choices to make in the game.

You could kill _________ douchebag with ________ weapon and then take Michelle to ________ on a date and then nail her (or not).

Then you could change the blanks up next time. Other than that, I don't see how 199 endings would be possible.

I heard there is more than one ending, but they both follow the same gist. Meaning the same thing happens, but just in a couple of different ways.

I suppose the decisions you get to kill characters or not kinda helps change the ending but not drastically.

I think it was attack of the show when they were having a special for gta they said there were only two endings. They were talking about how when you make choices to kill people or to save them, it really doesnt effect the ending it just comes down to a moral choice.

Just to verify this, I had a quick look at the final mission on an online walkthrough.

There are two different endings and different people die/survive in each. They way each is played is also a bit different. That's it.

My copy of EGM said there are only two different endings. Where you got 199 from, I don't know. Lay off the crack, dude.

I haven't let one person live when given the chance. I meant to let the Irish prisoner live, but accidently pistol whipped his skull.

Other than him, all those other bastards deserved to die. Especially that moron that you chase to the high roof of an apartment building. Right before I killed him, he yelled, "Man, **** you!" What kind of person would not kill him after that?

Anyway, I doubt there are 199 different endings.

I killed that guy on the rooftop. I was pissed that it took me so long to catch him so I had to kill him out of total anger.

I let Dwayne's girlfriend live, but kill Dwayne later on.

POSSIBLE SPOILER:

I don't think I have got the option to kill/save anyone else but I will kill everyone except Dimitri when I get the chance. I heard good things about letting him live.

I've killed Michelle about 8 times now. I wonder what effect that will have?
