Sega Genesis Questions

I bought a Sega Genesis yesterday, and I've been unable to get it to work. I had it connected to my tv with an RF Switch, but I think the RF port in the genesis is damaged, so I'm getting an AV out cable for it. My question is if I can use the Power Cable I got with it. It's for an NES, but seems to work with the genesis. My concern is that my genesis, a 1601 model, is rated for 9 volt, 1.2 amp power, and the NES cable is a 1.3 amp. Should I be worried about that little 0.1 amp?

I wouldn't. But don't blame me if it assplodes!

I wouldent worry about it too much. Its only going to use what it can, anything else is just going to pass through the circut. You should blow a fuse at the most, but that might be a little tricky to replace since the console is so old.

Best idea is just to get the cords off of ebay

I wouldn't worry about it, but I suggest not leaving it on for long periods of time.

I got a 1602 ac cable to be on the safe side. I am having a problem with A/V. I purchased an A/V cable to use with the genesis, but something is not working right. The system is fine, because when I plug in headphones, I can hear the game running, but there's no audio or video coming from the TV. Any suggestions for a fix?

The system seems to be trying to work, but there's no complete images. I have opened up the case, and boy was it dirty. Could the dirt be causing interference, maybe?

id say buy another genesis at this point. U have just too many issues, plus i wouldnt **** with that ac adapter now that i think about it.

Nevermind about the AV thing. I had the leads changed around by mistake, so it was sending audio to video and vice versa. Works great now. I love it and can't wait to expand my game library.
