Start Over or Redeploy?

I started playing Socom CA a few months ago for a couple of days; I beat about half the missions, then started looking
online for stuff about missions (that's when i initially joined VGF).

I overlooked the badges, because once i started playing online pvp games, I couldn't see how i would go back to campaign. Then I started playing
Co-op with my friends, and i found that to be really fun too. The only problem is, in Co-op, I've only got the starting weapons
and can't do anything.

If i want to unlock certain badges,where you need a set amount of points accumulated over the course of the campaign, should I start the campaign
over or can I just redeploy my low scoring missions? Will i still earn points towards badges in redeploy?

Anytime you redeploy your "best" new stats will just replace old ones. Surprised anyone still has the motivation to do all those missions. I spent like 8 straight hours playing just to get that damn R44M only to wait a year for Zipper to make a patch so I could use it.
