Satin Silver PS3 hitting Japan on March 6th - PS3 Fanboy

The ugly *** silver ps3. I think it is horrible looking and I am still waiting for the white one here in the US.

I dunno if anyone made a thread about it, but I did mention before it sometime.

I saw a video of it being unboxed and it under light...it actually looked quite good. Not as good as the Black or White PS3, but it is nice for those who want that color. It isn't horrible...I would be satisfied with it.

A slim ps3 would be a very bad idea. The whole point of the bubble design is to let the heat rise up and then get pushed out by the giant fan on the bottom. If it was this the air would be trapped and then they'd end up with a 360-like failure rate.

well im sure they wouldnt just flatten it without thinking of the cooling. There should be some way to slim it down though and adress the heating issue at the same time.

No, I haven't heard about the slim design but it wouldn't work.

I wasn't so sure of it at first, but I have got used to the fat design of the PS3. The fat PS2 was ugly and had too many straight edges, this forced them to create the slimmer one. The PS3's design does start to grow on you after a while, the PS2 was just plain disgusting.

The only time my PS3 gets hot is when I am playing a game. I left my PS3 on for about 10 hours (longest I have left it) with F@H running, and I came back and it felt like it was turned off. If I played a game running for 10 hours, I would barely be able to touch the console. I remember at Easter I got a bar of chocolate (like you do) and put it in my drawer. I came to eat it and it had started to melt. Why? Because that drawer is directly under the PS3.
