post dev doesnt always have to be long after the game is made. theres many a time where post dev ideas are added into the game shortly after the game is(or think its) done. Thats what i figured you were referring to.
I'm aware of that, but I was only referring to Final Fantasy VII, in which the post development that became the Compilation Series only occurred until long after the original game's release date.
