The PS Store getting revamped won't help the system as a whole. Unless my downloads from the Store continue to download while I play a game, I won't care what the store looks like

I don't understand why most people are so obsessed with the idea of Home... it isn't actually a game, and will only have detrimental effects on social gaming as a whole because nongamers will see all the fuss and wonder what the **** we are smoking and will brand gaming as mildly antisocial.
I'm not sure what you mean about the store. When I'm playing online the downloading stops, which is actually what I want to avoid lag anyway, and when playing offline it runs fine. Downloads actually seem to continue when other PS3 accounts are signed in, even if they aren't actually registered on PSN so I don't see how they are connecting, but I'm nearly certain it happens. Downloads shoot up 50% while I'm not signed in, sometimes the message saying they have completed come up on the other accounts. Very strange.
Personally I'm all for the console war continuing... competition keeps prices half reasonable. If Sony or Microsoft were to establish a monopoly prices would soar.
