  • Dazzling character design and effects: Toriyama’s unique influence is evident in the design of the game’s anime style characters, as their actions are enhanced with next-gen blur effects. Additionally, the game’s algorithmic animation system adds heightened realism to character and creature movements.
  • Famed developer: Mistwalker is a creative company founded by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the original developer of Final Fantasy. Operated by a handful of experts, the direction of new Mistwalker is influenced by Sakaguchi’s extensive industry experience. I believe that this will one of the next RPG's that I'll check out. From what I hear it has a great following in Japan and caused many xbox 360 purchases. Lets Discuss!

I've heard quite the opposite on this game's "following" (or lack thereof) in Japan... Japanese people are very picky when it comes to their RPG games. From what I heard, in the last issue of OXM, it's considered a dud.

I dunno... maybe I'll rent it, maybe I won't. I'm not such a huge fan of RPG games anymore... Knights of the Old Republic was the last good RPG that I've played in recent memory.

It's tough for other RPGs to hold a candle to a game like KOTOR.

The Elderscrolls IV: Oblivion has completely dominated every RPG made to this day, and even future releases.

Blue Dragon looks good, its a Anime like RPG game and i might consider buying it.

I played the hour long demo for Blue Dragon last night on the new OXM disc... this game reminded me very much of the good times that I spent playing previous Final Fantasy games.

People may b!tch and moan that the graphics are "too cartoony", but I thought they were friggin' awesome!! Besides, when it comes to video games, I am all about the gameplay... and the gameplay in this game seems like it will be top notch.

I found that there were some "delay" moments during the demo, where it seemed to take an extra second or two for certain animations to start... but I am fairly certain that should be taken care of once the retail version hits the stores.

This game just landed on my must play list... "very nice!"

(Can't wait until it's released next week.)

I'm 60 hours into Blue Dragon and I'm loving it. It really DOES have a FF feeling. I'm probably nearing the end. It has a pretty decent story and despite the cartoony look, it's still really enjoyable. There are some really good ideas packed into the game that keep it interesting throughout.

I really liked Blue Dragon.I liked the graphics, and the story was pretty good too. I also really appreciated the lack of random battles! I just finished Lost Odyssey, Mistwalker's second 360 effort, and that's even better, despite the random battles(!), though it's very, very similar to Blue Dragon, so if you're considering picking it up, you may want to give it a while :)
