LMAO... the manager at the GameStop by my house was telling me about this "gathering" that they were having for the release of the game... instantly, I had a flashback to the night I camped outside for a PS2, and politely told him, "no thanks, I already preordered it off GameStop's website".

I'll post my opinions on the game sometime tomorrow, after I have brought it home and played it.

After seeing the gameplay videos in the store last week, I see this game being nothing short of being one of the most spectacular Wii games out there.

Alright. I will add you tomorrow sometime. Searching for games against strangers is broken right now, and it never connects. But friends matches work perfectly.

yeah i figured the play anyone thing just didn't have enough people on it to find someone what with it just coming out today. by the way, what control scheme is everyone using for it. i started with the remote and nunchuck, but i switched to the classic. its just more comfortable even if the controller is too small for my giagantic freak hands.

I figure that the online is broken because WAY to many people tried to get on it, and they were not ready to handle that kind of numbers. The day the game comes out is the day that most users are going to be on. :P A LOT of people bought the game.

I started with the remote and nunchuck, but within 30 minutes I plugged in the cube controller. :)

that would make sense that they wouldn't be able to handle the numbers. nintendo doesn't exactly have the best track record when it comes to online. hopefully it will be up to par soon, the story mode is cool, but that wasn't what i bought the game for and i don't really know anyone with a wii and ssbb. hell that was one of the reasons i started coming to this board.

Thumbs up How can you complain
this is a huge step up for the Nintendo Company. Defnetly better than the past 2 smash bros. I think we owe Nintendo a hand

GCN controller rox!

I tried the other control schemes, and I cannot seem to grasp them at all. I do best on the Wii remote + nunchuk, which I was forced to do when my sister played with the GCN controller (I have two more GCN controllers, but they are not here with me...). Classic controller is a bit difficult for me, and the sideways Wii remote is just plain horrible.

There have been some people complaining about random aspects of the game, such as slower movements and falls, laggy wi-fi, and even poor sound effects. Honestly, I think they're a bunch of whiny babies who expect too much. I expect fun, period, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl definitely offers that. =P I was not at all hyped until the day it came out, when I finally read some in-depth stuff about the features. I'm glad I got it!

^ My favorite controller is classic, I don't think it's that hard if you play the GCN controller, and With Anyone wi-fi is laggy because people have bad connections, I don't think it's Nintendo's fault.
