Looks like I am incapacitated for awhile...
No I didn't get the 3 lights my disk drive is broken yet again and this time I am pacing full blame on my mother. First day of the March Break right, I grab my 360 from my room and my Rock Band and all that good stuff and bring it downstairs to play on our 50" LCD. I call my mom to see if I can have a friend over and told here clearly that my 360 was downstairs and hooked up to that T.V. and asked if I could use it for at least the day. She said that it was no problem and that yes I could have a friend over. Fast forward to a couple hours later when she gets home, low and behold she comes downstairs and ask's what I am doing using the T.V. and telles me to get off because she needs to watch American Idol. Well appearentlly, I didn't do it fast enough because she started to just rip the cords out of the wall/tv jacks and proceded to take my 360 and toss it into a box.
Items broken:
One 360 Disk Drive
One Wireless 360 Headset
One Wireless Controler
One Call o Duty 4
My disk drive does not open and will begin to read Call of Duty and then just wimp out and take me to the dashboard. I am just going to go buy a Core or what ever they are called now next Thursday, ironcally my birthday, when I get paid from work, and then tell her after that she needs to at least cover the cost of Call of Duty or a Controler.
In the meantime I guess that I have no excuses to start making my sexy cooling fan. Well, more like taking the Intec Cooling Vertical Stand and adding more powerful fans, spraypainting it and adding LED's. I really am starting to get into customizing things now. I am also in the process of making a custom faceplate, took my stock one and sanded it so far. If anyone is interested in making a customface plate go to this site for some tips, including a tutorial.

Why not call Microsoft and tell them that your drive stopped working? They may fix it under warranty if you leave out the bit about your mother going into an American Idol induced rage.

Believe me I was about to but my mom has alot of health problems and we always seem to get into arguements, it isn't helping her any by the added stress of arguing with a 16 year old. I am trying to control myself and instead of having a full blown arguement over little things, not that I am saying that this is a little thing, have a calm ration mature dicussion.

Last I knew, the warranty was extended to at least two years past purchase date. Call them up, it's at least worth a shot, and possibly worth saving a good deal of money.
If that doesn't work, list the busted Xbox on eBay. Apparently people like buying them and seeing if they can get them to work for cheap.

That's true, I thought that it was only the RRoD that was extended to 3 years and everything else was covered for one year.

No, all the wrranties went from a 3 month to a 1 year, unless you've got the RROD then you get the extra 2 years on it.

Well, I can't be right about everything all of the time.
I'd still give it a shot if it were mine. With all the bad press MS gets over faulty Xboxes, I'd think they'd fix it with little to no questions asked.

I hope that's not my old 360 she threw into a box!
Not a single person other than myself has so much has touched my PS3 since the day I bought it (to my knowledge) and I will hope to keep it that way.
Health problems or not, I know for a fact I would have flipped by lid.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune, I doubt it is covered under warranty since there is no way the disk drive could just stop working without human intervention. They will see it as you damaging it so I doubt they will be quick to help you unless you flash the cash.
