Well, I guesses I'll post my opinion.

I think if the swear filter is opened up a little bit, people will start to abuse it. I could also see it leading to a slippery slope type ordeal where other rules may get less enforced.

But then you get people like Pan and me that really don't see the need to sling around curses. I don't need to curse to get a point across. I really only start cursing when I'm pissed.

IDK. But I think it's good to lay off on it a little bit because there are a few times I have trouble knowing what **** means in certain context. I'd say keep a sharper eye on the posts and see if there is an abundance of swearing or not and go from there.
