here's the way i see it as a member here.

1) it's a family oriented site so kids are likely to read it and it would be a real pain in the *** if some parent decided to raise a stink if they find out little johnny is running around dropping f-bombs cause he saw it here.

2) site rules are site rules regardless of the reasoning behind them.

3) i don't know about you but i can pretty much figure out which vulgarity is being blocked just from the context it's used in, so it's not a big deal anyway.
