Video output problems
Sorry, I didn't know I couldn't post links...here's what i was trying to say. I apologize.
I've been having video problems as well. Every once in a long while I would get a single red light and a black screen with a message in every human language. I simply turn my 'box off and back on and it's gone. I don't know if it's related in anyway, but since it's not the 3-red ring of death, my waranty is void.
Everytime I turn my Xbox on it looks fine for about 5 minutes, then the colors begin to fade and becomewird looking. A couple minutes afterward my video goes completely Black and White. Then it begins to flicker on and off from BnW to Color slowly, and then very rapidly. I know it's not my AV Cables because I just bought new ones today and nothing changed. I know it's not my TV because my other gaming consols work just fine, pluss my Xbox has done this on other people's TVs.
It seems I have this problem in any game, or just sitting on my dashboard. I called customer support and went through all their stupid steps, most of which I already did before I called. Then the lady finally confirmed what i said, that my Xbox is messed up and needs repairs. However my warenty is void and they expect me to pay $99 to get it repaired!
Thanks a lot Microsoft, because of your tender loving care I get to play my games in Black and White untill my Xbox completely dies. If it wasn't for your stingy, money grubbin greedy ways...I might be forced to play in COLOR!
To the GAMERS who read the posts here: I propose we sign some patition to Microsoft to have them extend the waranties to ALL Xbox 360 consols which malfunction from normal wear-and-tear use. Those of us who have the Video Output problems are getting SHAFTED because we don't have the Red Ring of Death. If Microsoft fails to admit negligence in their design of the Xbox 360 and extend ALL waranties, I pray I get the RRoD so I don't have to pay MORE money to keep playing my, already expensive console.
I submitted a case to the BBB, please if any of you want to help in this case, we may be able to get Microsoft to extend our warranties for the Video Output problem gamers.
