360 Disk Read Problem

Ok, so lately I have been getting the "To play this dis, put it in an Xbox 360 console" screen whenever I put in a game. It was annoying at first but manageable because the game would load in one or two tries after that. Now it is downright unbelievable. Everytime I try to play a game it takes at least 20 tries before it will read it. Does anyone know of anyway to fix this?

I called MS about it in October, they said they would send me the box and for me to send my 360 in, I still haven't received the box. Since my console was manufactured in November 06, I am now not covered under the warrenty. Think if I tell them I never got the box I can one sent to me?

Don't worry you're still under warranty. Mircrosoft just extended them due to all of the issues that we have been facing.

Unfortanately it sucks when you order for a 360 coffin in October, and it is now the middle of January and you have still yet to recieve it.

RROD is covered for 3 years, any other problem is under 1 year.

Mine gets disc read errors ALL the time. I have to put a disc in about 5-6 times before it is able to read it.

I pray for the RROD so I can just get a replacement console.

MIne scratched RSV two days after I turned it on, and then after that ANY 360 game had trouble loading. The only game that gave me no trouble was Halo2, and orginal xbox game =/.

No offense, but you need to start sticking up for yourself or something... I'd have been calling their customer service line every couple of hours, after not receiving the empty shipping box within a decent time frame.

Sitting around here on a forum asking for advice isn't going to get the empty box to you sooner.

Either that, or your story is a complete fabrication.

I completly forgot about it because it started working again after that. Now it's working better then it did before but still takes 1-2 tries to load. I foun a CD Lens cleaner (CD with felt brushes on the disk to clean the laser) and that seemed to help.
