Inside Source Reveal the Truth About Xbox 360 "Red Ring of Death" Failures

Just for those who don't know, a 30% failure rate is absolutely terrible.

With the new SKUs and more PS3s sold, a little bit more failures are starting to show up. But that is probably close to the standard electronic failure rate. The 360's is just hideous.

Also, I heard a lot of good things about Sony's Customer Service.

What's so good about it? They're in a country that's closer to the U.S. when compared to India?

Might as well keep it, if that's the case...

Both companies have horrendous customer service... and this is a person that has had to deal with both of them on more than one occasion.

Well, from the stories I have heard from Sony Customer Support, it has been good. But that might just because it is a somewhat rare occurance. As with the Xbox Live customer support, there are a lot more of those calls, so there is a better chance of more of these horrible stories showing up.

Anyways, I heard many things about Sony's support (some occasional negatives).

-Speak full English
-Replaced out of warranty consoles (when they know it is out of warranty)
-Helpful
-Gets systems replaced fairly quickly

But you see, this is the same thing that I would say about the Microsoft repairs... sure, it happened (hell, more than once!), and naturally I was pissed... but I always got a 360 returned to me in a very timely fashion.

If the 360 didn't have such great games, I probably would think that it isn't as good as I think it is - or play it nearly as much as I currently do. Besides... I think the PS3 needs more shelf time before I am ready to make a more definitive "review", if you ask me.
