Live-silver to gold?

Ok, so i just bought the wireles s adapter and I set up my Live account. The only problem is that the system is supposed to come with a month of free gold, but all that I can get is silver. Does anyone know how I can get to my free trial?

IDK, but I just had the same thing happen to me, but, I didn't want to use my month until I played the game a bit to get better at it. And it would not let me get my month free, so I just made a new GT and used my month when it asked me.

Xbox Live has been real messed up for the past couple weeks or so..so that *may* be the reason you didn't get a free month..

I could be completely wrong though.
