socom CA on my lcd....need help please.
I can't get the game to use all of the screen. It looks better than it did, but there are still black borders on the sides and top and bottom. Is this just how CA will look on my ps3 because its a ps2 title?

i'd appreciate any help.

thanks.

Sounds like a TV issue not a system issue. I would look at your TV manual and find more about gaming options and if that doesn't work call the TV help line see if they can help. You might just need to change the input ratio of the screen size projection.

You can try what pan said, but also in the options menu of Socom itself there's an option to have widescreen on or off...you can try switching that to see if it does anything.

I forget if I had the same experience when I used to play..

Try changing the resolutions on your HD box if you have one or go into the System settings for your PS3

Make sure upscaling and smoothing are on once you figure it out.

I had the same problem when I purchased my 56 inch Samsung DLP...I loaded the game and was playing but it didn't look right...and I couldn't get it to fit...so I went into the setting of the game and clicked the widescreen box and something called interlaced..now it fits the screen right and I have no trouble...try that.
