or get a 360 and play call of duty and hal0 3

Regarding your question...COD4 and Unreal Tournament 3 on the PS3 are all you need. You'll never go back to Socom once you play either of these 2 games.

UT3 online owns Halo 3 in every regard.

I would personally go with COD 4 and Halo 3 both games give a good varation and are really good!

360 with Halo 3 and COD4. I just started playing Halo 3 and love it.

360 deff. for cod4, but personally, i hated halo 3. and look for Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway. Right now it is listed for release on 2/26/08, if you haven't read anything about this game you should do so.

Most importantly:
Online Experience 360 > Ps3.

I know you're an old Socomer, so I'd suggest the PS3 for you. UT3 looks intense, COD4 is amazing, and you'll be all setup to play old Socoms until the new one hits.

Being a Socomer, I can tell you Halo is the most garbage azz shooter you will ever play.

It's online setup is flawless, but the nature of the game is just weak.

The matchmaking, Forge and physics are outstanding. Physics especially, after seeing the videos of the guy who sniped himself, and the most amazing grenades/sticks.

i would go with the 360, halo 3 is a pretty strong game with pretty good multiplayer and forge is also amazing if your into custom games with friends. The single player is pretty run of the mill but amazing graphics. The only flaw is the nasty online community of in-mature kids, but theres always a mute button

CoD4 has breathe taking graphics! the single play is great but kind of short, and the multiplayer has a sweet ranking system that goes the more kills and captures you get the better weapons you will recieve, and the community is not driven by kids.
