Prestige Mode

I have heard several rumors that there are secret perks that you unlock after going through prestige mode 10 times. Does anyone have any evidence of this?

For those of you who do not know about prestige mode when you make it to level 55 for the first time you have an option of entering prestige mode and going back to level 1 losing everything you have acheived but in return you get a shiny new icon next to your name.

A clan mate asked the top guy who's already at prestige level 10 (NOX RYAN) and he said that RYAN said at level 7 you get to use an extra attachment on your primary weapon and I think at level 8 you get to put all three attachments on and that there are extra perks at level 10.

I'm not for sure if this is true, like I said, this is what my clan mate said NOX RYAN said.

Infinity Ward said you don't get 2 hidden perks after you reach level 10 Prestige mode..any of the other things I can't confirm or deny.

I also just heard earlier today that NOX Ryan posted on some forums (I guess the XBox Live forums) that he didn't receive anything for it.

If this is true, then personally I think that's stupid because if you take the time and effort to get through 10 levels of prestige plus you first set of ranks the first time through, you should be awarded something other than a different rank symbol.

Just to reiterate, there are absolutely no additional perks or unlockables awarded through Prestige Mode.

Prestige Mode is simply for bragging rights.

No one on the ps3 has reached 10 yet. Just goes to show that people with ps3's have lives... Just kidding, good job to that player.

I don't know, staying at level 55 and racking up worthless points gets rather repetetive in my opinion. I prestiged once, and I'll probably do it again as long as I have time to get my guns back up before a clan match. The M16, MP5, and M40 are my most used guns anyway, so as long as I can get 25 quick kills to get the red dot on each, I'm cool with prestiging.

I think prestige is pretty cool in this game any gun gets a kill I think all guns are pretty much equal.. The only flaw I see in this game is when someone has juggernut on and you have a sniper and it takes two shots. I think juggernut or not a sniper should be one shot kill.
