Go ahead and bash me for eve keeping this topic going, but the fact is you unlock the crossbow through gaining local influence. It's not that the fact that the Navy SEAL's use this in real life, but rather the locals in the messed up mind of Zipper use it in their towns roads and other various places in the game.

As you gain LI you gain better LI weapons, LI is gained through rescuing hostages ad capturing bad guy's. one of the best LI weps in the game is an assault rifle that is used by the private contract security guards in the game.

My point, Sublime the locals gave the SEAL's the darn x-bow to use in the game a gift for saying thank you for not killing my arse and not killing the bad guy's too

Lol. I wasn't really bashing on you. I just thought it was kinda strange for that weapon to be in this kind of game. Think about it no socom has any weapon besides guns. They don't even have melee or knife attack so to just skip over that and bring in a cross bow... Acculy I think single player mode has knife attack Im not too sure.
