i'm hoping they send me a new 2007 console, instead of the 2005 version i bought. i've heard it going both ways so who knows. As long as they don't send some random person's refurb one i'm ok, i want the one i bought back!!

So you're saying that you want a 2007 console, but you want your 2005 one back? That avatar is freaking me out everytime I look at it. 
My 360 is getting its fan fixed. I turned it on one day and about 20min into playing I noticed that the fan hadn't come on at all. I then felt the back of it and I thought my hand was going to burn off, thus I was on the phone with microsoft 3min later.

Actually i've heard of alot of people getting theirs back in the recent months and it is a picture of Oh Dae Su in the movie Oldboy

Unless they've changed protocol, they send you a refurbished unit once they receive yours. That actually works out to your benefit, because you don't have to wait for them to fix it.

well i know the one i got from my friend, was treated with the utmost care and respect. So i'm just worried i'll get a scratched and beatin up console that was owned by some 12 year old....
