R6V is ALPHA vs BRAVO, which is considerably different from SEALs vs Terrorists, Cowboys vs Indians, Gays vs Straights, and my personal favorite, Autobots vs Decepticons.
Any weapon can be overcome with superior tactics, and/or teamwork.
I'm all for keeping different weapons for each side, but the host should be able to restrict each and every specific weapon they want to. This would eliminate the use of the Model 18 almost completely.
Also, for the thread starter, I think you were drunk when you played Socom 1 and Socom 2.
Blurry, drunken, beer-induced vision is the only explanation, aside from you being a complete idiot or having selective memory, that would explain your "socom 1 and socom 2 had NO FRAMERATE ISSUES AND was fun becuase it ran smoothly." statement.
Can I just say "Bitter Jungle"? Oooh, how about "Frost Fire"? No? Not ringing any bells? Hmm, perhaps "Rat's Nest"will do the trick.
Throw a couple grenades or pull your trigger on either and it's stop-motion-socom time.
